Agree. If you find comfort and healing here - Great! If you find it there - Great! If you want to be both places, go for it. I think it's terrific! We need a place to feel safe and a community where we can be encouraged, regardless of where that is.

No thanks. The trolls yesterday were posting to go to that site. I looked at it (since everything is public loool) and there are several posts badmouthing ies. So yea. If you wanna join whatever. I don't care. But i'm not.

Thanks guys! I was afraid I would be called a troll and stoned to death for posting the invitation. So thank you for not doing that to me lol. I really don't think anyone from there is the troll that caused chaos here. I could be wrong. It's a legitimate site for sure, there's a lot of good stuff there, mostly good people with the odd weirdo that tries to cause trouble - like here. Most, if not all, are from here anyway, so. It does have a private forum but for senior members only - you have to have 50 posts which I don't yet so I don't have access yet. So it's not all public, no.

The two sites can definitely co-exist because as someone at the other site said, ies is really good for people who need to know they're not "freaks" and to get immediate panic support, and ITSJUSTPUKE is good for those of us who really want to recover and are working on it, though it does offer emetophobia support and there is a panic forum there for panic posts. So yeah, everyone can decide which board we want to belong to and I'm sure a lot of us will belong to both and go back and forth depending on what we need on any given day. I think both sites should be careful not to let a troll or two pin us against each other because to me it seems like whoever's causing the problems here has tried to do the same there, so it could very well be someone who doesn't care about either board and just wants to see everyone fight.

Anyway.... Thanks guys! Appreciate it and I will probably pop in here from time to time but right now I really want to work on recovering and that's what they do there. Thanks again and good luck to you all too.

Both sites in my opinion absolutely can coexist. This is the internet, after all...

However, I think what makes people so wary (myself included) is that it was seemingly founded by someone with less than honest intentions on IES, and naturally members who have been around this board for a while are going to have a weird sense of loyalty and comfort to what we are familiar with. The first week of that site was honestly just IES bashing, panic shaming, and a prize to post the most. In my opinion, the screams trolling/spamming.

But I did some thinking, I have revisited itsjustpuke a few times since hearing that it's helped shed positive perspectives a few members I truly care about. It does indeed have some good and helpful information. I can't knock that. I guess the mystery whether or not the member who created the board is the same troll that's been plaguing IES the last few days remains the same. We don't actually know, do we? Because the IP address thing while yes, is strange. It's not lining up with some legit members that I am personally FB friends with that are being accused. So really, I'm done paying attention to it.

With that being said I am going to continue to test the waters over on itsjustpuke for as long as its up and running for because just like anything else online, you take out of it what you want. So I'm going to go forth with an open mind!

I kind of went back and looked and what I wrote about the other board and felt bad. It's not like me to be so judgemental. So I'm hoping that can be forgiven. I'm human. My friends (on and off IES) who truly know me know I open my mind up to a lot to a lot of things. So I took a step back and gave the place another shot. I don't post right now, just read.

Jade - no reason to feel bad. There was lots of unfortunate things being done and said and the other board was started under unusual circumstances. There was a lot of IES bashing going on over there with many members (me as one of them) being bashed personally, which was unfortunate. You expressed yourself and that is not wrong.

I am glad that so many there are recovering and I do hope that their board is fueled by the desire to recover and not just hate of us here. Mdgirl and I were also called 'dumb and dumber' (nice), drama queens, etc. It's been going on for a while I guess. But, like I said, a troll PMed me links, so I'm not sure what all is being said nor does it truly matter. Not sure where all of the accusations are coming from as I think that I've always been pretty rational. I certainly don't understand the idea that I'm not trying to recover. But, whatever, it doesn't matter. I get that people need someone to blame. It would certainly be nice for people to let me know how I've offended them rather than running there to make these statements, but I can't control what people do, that's on them.
