Hey Vicky,

I watched the show and I have seen item on Paul on This Morning and other shows. Liek the first girl with the needle phobia I have spent thousands of pounds on other treatments and none have worked. I would certainly like to give him a go though!

Have you tried any treatments yourself? I just wish i could find the right person to help me-ive tried so many!!!!

hey felicity...it was really interesting...i have tried different therapy from CBT through the NHS and i paid for EFT which is what he was doing on the young guy....the tapping on parts of the body...that was really affective, makes u feel very relaxed and so positive afterwards....but like u i was thinking last nite it would be great to catch up with him....he must be expensive.....i felt that, the women who had the needle phobia, who of course was a doctor....was such a sad story to start off with and brought tears to my eyes....but to c her be able to take blood at the end was amazing for her....she just seemed a different person....I'd give anything a go at the mo!!!! really need my life back to the way it was....i was a bit like the doctor, were i had a good job working for BAirways and loved to socialise...went from that to become an agoraphobic, lost my job, family and everything around me.....so i can really connect with her.....maybe we should write to him and c if he would hold a conference for people with emet and maybe help a group of us at the same time....if only!!!! LOL

anyway I'm sure he must have a site, lets give it a go!!! Where do u live anyway....?????I'm in Plymouth!

I know someone who once emailed Paul McKenna for help with her emet. Well he emailed back saying he couldn't help her at that time but put her in touch with someone who could. So he is very receptive to helping people even if he is busy! Vicky I understand completely where you are coming from. Agoraphobia was so horrifying. I felt so powerless, it was just aweful lol Right now I feel some of my tendancies coming back because I don't have a job and that scares me even more! I keep forgetting you are in Plymouth, I really must come down and see ya sometime lol I'm usually in Cornwall every few months or so!

    Hi Vicky,

I also know who Paul McKenna is, and would love it if he would hold a conference to help people with Emet, as well as to bring it out in the open as such a common phobia!

I have heard about EFT (Tapping) before, and I tried it on myself, but I was told that the problem with Emet, is that there isnt only one thought process or one particular thing, eg Needles, that triggers off our panic. There are so many different thoughts and situations that trigger our fear, that we would need the treatment for a much longer period and it would have to be more intense too, to be able to focus on and treat each and every aspect of Emet.

Thats so frustrating as I can see how it could work.

Anyway thats my 5p worth for now.

    Hi people,

I have written to This Morning enquiring about Paul McKenna as I know he has done some shows. I definitely think we should write. Ive had hypnosis too and loads of other things and ended up out of pocket. But, the other people on the show had spent thousands on therapy too-so maybe he does something different?

Anyway il give anything a go! I find the tapping strange too-I dont like it, it makes me feel as if il be sick-not all the time. But it doesnt do anything wonderous for me either like people claim it does...oh well

I've been to Plymouth ice skating once, I was very proud of myself because I didn't fall over once hehe. Non stop rain? Tell me about it in scotland!!!!! It's so miserable a lot of the time. Thats why I escape to Newquay every now and then for some sunshine. when I can afford it anyway lol I'm glad to hear you have been doing a bit better!
