If you feel there is something to be concerned about, persue it, and don't give up until you have a straight-forward answer. I spent a year going to GI specialists before I found out my stomach ailment (gastroparesis) which causes nausea too. But my GI is one of the best around and said there are SO many things that can cause nausea, and stress is the #1 reason, I had to convince him it was more than stress, and we got to the root of the problem.

IBS is also way overly diagnosed, the GI tract is meant to act up when one is stressed. People assume this is IBS. Also, when a doctor no longer wants to persue what the problem may be, they slap the label IBS on it. Which is a bad thing to do, an urgent care doctor did that to me and the medication made my condition worse (before we knew what my condition was) and messed up my system for a long time, all from taking an IBS medication, when I never had it.
