Default Have flu...now watery d*..please urgent

For the past 4 to 5 days I've had your average yearly flu: body aches, high fever, chills, n*, the works. I came home from work early as I felt really n*. A girl at work asked if I have been out with stomach symptoms and said she had d* all yesterday. I've been managing okay-ish... til I ate an apple and right away and I mean immediately when I was done, I had to run in the bathroom and I had watery d*. I didn't have stomach pains but I just knew it was going to happen. Now I'm pretty worried...

Do you think it's a part of the flu (unlikely)? I had a fair share of cough drops that had a warning that too many could cause a laxative effect but that was 2 days ago...would the effect be delayed? Could it be the granny smith apple I had on an empty ish stomach? Do you think this is a sv?

I'd appreciate any insight or calming words. Thank you!!

I had that same kind of situation recently and when I went to the bathroom, I was SO terrified and convinced that I would v* that I actually passed out from fear and anxiety, which really didn't help my n* in the first place. I spent the entire day terrified, panicking and in the end I was fine and my flu symptoms stayed what they were: super intense body aches, fever, and some sinus and respiratory symptoms.

I hope you're feeling better now. My stomach actually doesn't love granny smith apples sometimes, so I can see that upsetting your stomach a bit. Additionally, I truly believe the d* and n* overall can come from sheer anxiety, so my instinct is to always try to think that's what it is, so I can convince whatever rational self within me that I'm okay and I have control over the situation. If you've been taking cough drops, that tells me you've had some more respiratory issues and I feel they are rarely related to stomach issues. I know it's a little late from the time of your post, but I know panic can sometimes last for what seems like forever, so I hope this helped in some way.

It's the flu. It messes your body up. Don't worry about having a sv too! Get through the flu and you will return to normal soon

It can be common to feel that way with the flu. Hope you feel better soon!
