Default Can excitement cause anxiety-like feelings?

So this is probably a really stupid question and I'm embarrassed about asking it. But right now I'm pretty excited about something that I haven't done in a while and I've been getting anxiety-like symptoms. Like rapid heart beat, s*ck feeling in throat etc. I know I've probably caused myself to feel a lot worse because I'm scared because I feel ill and I'm scared I AM ill but can excitement cause you to feel ill or unwell at all? It sounds so stupid but I needed to ask 🙁

    Thanks.

Haha! You are literally me a few mins ago..I wrote out a panic post I didnt finish cos there was an incident that happened about 30 mins ago, except mine was more "fear" than excitement as I thought I heard someone downstairs in the dark so my tummy must have turned and immediately I got the sick throat for the first time in AAAAGES. Awful. Only just started to calm down... yours will definitely be the excitement, you have answered your own question I think haha.
If you wanna crash from the anxiety, try putting some meditation music on, Im listening to one now on youtube in the dark, its helping

Yeah i get this too. As a collector of militaria, i get really excited when i find new flea markets (You will find alot of militaria if you go to a lot of flea markets). As soon as i find something i want, i get acid reflux because of the excitement. The problem with it though is that when i get a really bad acid reflux during these moments, loss of interest is something that follows as a symptom which makes me just want to stand still and not do anything which is annoying.

Yes, it is adrenaline, same as panic or anxiety attack, fear, surprises, ect

I think for some people it can. I know when I get excited about something the way my body reacts is very similar to when I am starting to get a manic episode.
