Does anyone know if emetrol works, or is it just sugar water?

    Thanks,

    Whether it works or not...

Remember the v* happens for a reason.

That's why doctors don't (or shouldn't) just hand out perscriptions for
things you don't need. Emetrol is intended to use when the patient is
    becoming dehydrated too fast.

I have taken it, and I think that it makes you feel more nauseated, immediately after you swallow it, so I had to do the "breathing", but once it was down, I did feel better!!!

Thanks for the info on this one! I just found this site and it is great to know that I am not alone with this. As far as the emetrol I I guess there are kinda mixed emotions here, but considering it is OTC I wanted to ask about it. My Dr. did prescribe phenegran for nausea but I am even more afraid to try something that you need a script for, plus I don't know if it will work either. Anyway, thanks for all of the replies!!!! They are much appreciated.

Emetrol works great for me, it has more instant results than pills. BUT it works in more of a gastritis/actual stomach situation. It probably didn't work with the alcohol because that is in your bloodstream and has little to do with your actual stomach. If that makes sense.

Emetrol is great; however, it is the SAME THING as Coke syrup, but it costs
about $7 more than Coke syrup.

You are just as well off putting a little bit of Coke syrup and an ice cube in a
cup (really, just a little bit) and sipping it. It tastes WAY better... and it's way
    cheaper.

Emetrol is an over-the-counter liquid medication for nausea. I have never tried it but often wondered if it worked. I usually just take prescription Phenergan for severe nausea.
