- Biography:
- Hi! I'm Briana:) I apologize in advance- my about-me is long! [You can skip to the end part if you just wanna know why I'm anxious]. I'm a 17 year old senior who is a self-proclaimed romantic 100%. I'm SO excited for college & I can't wait till high school is done. I am Catholic. Yes, I am short, and yes, I do love it! I also love getting dressed up- I'll go to a formal occasion just to get all formaled :) I love Taylor Swift. My dream is to sing backup for her. If I don't do that [or anything else music-related] with my life, i'll be in the medical field. Or meteorological field. It really depends on if I pass out in college bio classes or not. Katy Perry's my bitch. I love people who have a sense of humor. I love animals & have 4 dogs -- Zsa-zsa, Bugsy, Chloe, and Lily; a cat-- Meow; and a bunny -- Munchie. I love to go boogie boarding and to the beach in NJ - give me the ocean over a pool any day. I love Panera Bread and Via Mare's [down in Jersey]. I'm an extremely picky eater and pretty much edit anything I order [just ask anyone who takes my order at Panera!] Music is my game and I pretty much suck at every sport out there. I have been playing the piano for 9 years, played violin for 1, and cello for 4, in addition to starting to singing & playing guitar for the last year. Me and my bestie are writing songs for the eventual "Love Society". Jewelry makes me happy. I have an obsession with tape. Personally I don't think there's any chocolate like the kind they put in Advent calendars. I sometimes prefer to make my smilies like this (: instead of like this :) just because it's different. Math and Spanish are my favorite and worst subjects [respectively]. I love artichokes - they're delicious! And watermelon. And bagels. Texting too [but that isn't food]. Love is a big thing for me and I basically love love. I never get tired of talking about it. I'm creative and always have like a mini project going on like crystallizing my high heel shoes or selling things on eBay. I'm an anxious person. I had separation anxiety as a little girl, developed emetophobia [fear of throwing up] at age 7 that was put under control a few years ago with cognitive behavioral therapy [but has since gotten a LOT worse], and when I was 9, my separation anxiety got refueled, reached its peak, and 6 months of therapy later I was ok. Until a few years ago. I pretty much have reached the point where I worry about a few things allllllll the time. Which is why I'm here. Starting when I was 13, I had stomach pain, nausea and fatigue daily that lasted for 3 years.During this time I was on Prozac to help the stomach pain [go figure]. I went to every doctor and went through every test known to man till they figured out my gallbladder wasn't functioning [no gallstones, it just didn't work] so I had surgery to remove it. My surgeon elected to remove my appendix at the same time just in case, and thank goodness he did, because turns out I had chronic appendicitis on top of it! My anxiety really kicked in during all that [without my knowledge], so I got off the Prozac and tried returning to school, only to find out that I mentally can't handle it. I was looking forward to many things happening this year [my senior year of high school] such as graduating with my friends and going to the prom and such, so it's been really hard for me to accept this. So here I am. It's nice to know I'm not alone in this, and I'm definitely up for talking to anyone here if you feel like it!
