Okay, I just started 8th Grade and I'm seated in the middle row right in front. But I keep thinking of things that would embaress me or things that freak me out. I need something to keep my mind off of it because its driving me crazy. It feels like everyone can read my mind. It really really makes me crazy. I think of a song in my head one that I know all the lyrics to. But that barely helps. I try to play the music video in my head but that's hard. The obsessions are starting to get in the way of my school work. I need something to get it off my mind.Edited by: caligirl510

I used to have similar feelings at school if I had to sit in the middle or at the front - I felt like if anything happened (like I had a panic, felt ill etc) people would be able to see me easier. I almost felt like I could feel eyes burning into me from behind! Would it help if you sat somewhere else? Maybe at the side near a wall - that helped me. You could perhaps have a word with your teacher or school nurse/counsellor and explain how you feel and that your work is suffering because of the anxiety.

Please let us know how you get on.

Do you have assigned seating? In my high school we dont anymore, and if that's the case you could maybe move to another place? I agree with Tracey completely, if you cant, talk to someone. Good luck!
