above all else - make sure the design means something to you. that way, in 20 years, hopefully you'll still love it.
Im getting a butterfly as well - to me, it represents the changes in life we go through ( how it goes through metamorphesis).. and how the butterfly is free to go anywhere and experience all life has to offer. I'm getting mine done in blue - because its a calm color, and it reminds me of the ocean.. which I love. And red, because its the color of passion and a beautiful sky.
make sure your design is part of you... what is something you'd like to represent about yourself? don't go for a design if it has no meaning.. lol.. can you see a trend in what Im saying?
ask yourself.. what does it mean to you? why do you want this design?
