Sorry, I've just gotten halfway through Twilight itself so can't help you. Should I be scared of these scenes in New Moon?

ok LOVED Twilight, the first book. So I immediately read New Moon, the second, and yes there is a very disturbing chapter involving the s* v*. V* in books usually doesn't bother me unless it has absolutely no relevence to the storyline!
Kendall-do you know why Stephanie Meyer(the author) even had that in the storyline at all? I can't figure it out...why go into such detail if it is totally pointless and doesn't effect where the story is going in any way? I buggs the crap out of me because that chapter kinda ruined that book for me. Of course, I continued to read and finished it last night, but it is perplexing. Any thoughts?

Kckitty- You should definately still read the books, but just be forewarned that it is there. After you read it you have to let me know what you thought!

So there is a point to it?! Thats such a relief! You don't have to tell me, i'm almost done with Eclipse right now.

Abbey-in New Moon, its the chapter entitled "Third Wheel", which I think is chapter 9...and there are some other breif references to it in other chapters, but not as descriptive as in that chapter.

I don't mind reading about or even seeing v* on TV...I got the book "Twilight" from the library, I hope to start it soon.

On that note I LOVE LOVE LOVE Stephen King, and in almost every single book there is a reference to v*. Never bugged me even at the worst of my emet (which is now)!

I love Twilight!

I tried out to be an extra in the movie, but no luck

And I totally agree with you, xmdslatx. Gaspard was Edward to me before I even knew there was going to be a movie!

I know the part your talking about in New Moon, at the movie theater.
I skipped that part in the book.... I really hope they don't put it in the movie when they make New Moon!!!Edited by: clarync8

***** POSSIBLE SPOILERS BELOW *****
I wondered that at first too. I think it has something to do with her trying to work in Jacob's werewolf transition. The night that she went to the movies with Mike and Jacob, Mike got sick. Jacob was not feeling well either and then later that night she got sick also. Therefore, Bella and the readers are all under the assumption that Jacob is getting the stomach 'flu'. This is just my thought.

ok ill say it like this

!!!!!spoilers spoilers!⁄!!!</font>

in the last book (i hate my self for telling you) when bella has
morning sickness she needs edward for comfort, because his body
tempeture is like 0 she feels good next to him, like her personal ice
pack. in twilight bella feels worse than she does in BD so thats what
makes her think somethings wrong.then comes renesmee

dont hate! you were warned!

Wait Kendall-that doesn't explain the sickness that goes around all her friends and then gets to her in New Moon....there wasn't a point to that, was there? (i'm halfway through BD so you didn't ruin it for me hehe)

well i meant new moon sorry!
well theres no point in her getting sick but theres a point in her
BEING sick also what mochababy said is true ill fix my post.

anyway, like i said i think she put it in there because in new moon
edward wasn't there (duh) and so she felt horrible but in BD she
senses somethings wrong before she realizes he periods late. so i
think stephenie may have made a comparison she was oblivious to

i just love the books no matter what she puts in them

only i am sad that BD is the last book

Mochababy/kendall-that must be it, its the only thing I could think of as well. Still wish it wasn't in there at all. Oh well, I just finished BD and loved it. Best book yet. Can't wait for the movie.

Since Jubidyjub posted about this, I thought I'd bump it up for more discussion.

The morning sickness in BD wasn't too bad, but in New Moon I was actually shaking when I read it the first time. Generally, v* in books doesn't bug me.
