Default Anyone else not have a spotless house??

I've been reading others posting about their houses being perfectly clean. Mine's not. Anyone else? I'm a germaphobe to a certain extent. Mostly in public and other people's houses. It's almost like I know they're MY germs so I'm ok if my house isn't immaculate. Does that make sense? Don't get me wrong, my house isn't dirty, just sometimes messy!

I also agree...I'm a germaphobe to an extent. My house (even if it's messy) is my comfort zone (my mess, my germs) so I'm okay with that; however, if I go visit someone and the bathroom is dirty....i'll hold that shit until i get home...LOL. Us emets are a kooky bunch! I love to clean my house, but I wouldn't call it "spotless" I have 3 cats for goodness sakes!

my house is clean-messy if that makes sense.
Like, its totally disorganised, my room has papers and clothes and pens and paints all over the floor, but it's all 'clean' mess, none of that could possibly make me ill at all. I don't have any mess like old food, drinks, spilt stuff, anything 'dirty'...
i'm the most disorganised person i know haha.

I have 2 young daughters and a very busy husband, so no, my house is FAR from perfect. I also don't mind if my friends' houses aren't perfect. We all go through life stages, and right now my life stage requires that I put enjoying life with my husband and children first, and keeping a perfect house somewhere down the line! I have had to get over many of my idiosyncracies (spelling?) to be a better wife and mom, and my germaphobia went WAY before my fear of others being s* near me!

Yea my house is messy. Im only a germophobe/clean freak elsewhere. I know that my room is my germs. And also I cant control everything in my house because I live with my parents, although they probably wouldnt complain if I wanted to clean everything.

I'm a germophobe but my house is not spotless. Unfortunately it doesn't mean I'm comfortable in my own house, it just means I'm more into washing my hands (which I do a lot). Sometimes the phobia even makes me NOT want to clean things in my house, because touching "dirty" things feels too uncomfortable.

I feel the same way, I don't care if it's my own germs. The front door is kind of "off-limits" though, because I touch it before I wash my hands, and the bathroom for sure if other people have used it.

I'm kind of obsessed with keeping my bed clean though. I HATE it when people sit on my bed in their pants!!! If they even get close to my pillow, it HAS to be changed. People think this is so irrational, but come'on, they're sitting everywhere in those pants and they touch public toilets and the ground. I've actually had people stop sitting on their beds after bringing that up, no one thinks about it.

I am what I can an "organized mess". I don't mind a little mess and I hate super clean houses. I don't feel comfy in them. I am only really anal about clean bathrooms and kitchens. Not even just because or germs, but just in general. I hate dirty sinks/tubs. I will not shower in tub that looks grimy.

To me their is a line between messy and dirty. Mess and clutter is fine, but actual dirt and grim is no good.
