How long after a person last vomited are they usually contagious for?

I have heard that you are contagious for 3 days after but then I have also heard that the sv can still be found in fecal matter of an infected person up to 3 weeks later

That's true - it's hard to gauge exactly. Although there may be traces of norovirus in one's stool 3 weeks later, you'd probably have to have a lot of fecal matter on your hands to spread it to someone else. AND the person would have to ingest a lot of it. Not very likely.

You're most contagious before you show symptoms and when you're actually sick.
