Hi guys...
I'm kinda anxious right now. I hung out with my sis for a while today, and
just now she tells me that she has the flu. Apparently she was up until
3am last night v*ing ("Team America style"). Now I'm nervous. I don't
remember if I was within breathing distance of her, but I wasn't really
careful to stay away cause I didn't know until now. My sister is the
complete opposite of me: I completely panic if I even think I'm gonna be
sick, but when she's sick she doesn't even care. So now I'm super nervous
that I'll catch it. And I really can't afford it right now. I quit my job recently
(stupid, I know, but I just couldn't take it anymore) and I have a bunch of
interviews this week. And I haven't even told my parents yet that I've quit
cause they'll completely flip out. Plus the stress from that has been
bugging me, and my parents have been fighting a LOT lately, and I'm
worried that the stress and anxiety will make me more vulnerable to this
bug. Ugh. I'm so stressed right now and this isn't making things better!

Hmmmm, how long was she sick for?? Do you think it was the stomach bug?? If it came and went really fast for her with nothing other than vomiting, then maybe it was something she ate, etc...

I guess I am confused about what time it is where you are. It is 2:30am here now. So was she sick the day you were with her....like that morning??

Try not to worry too much. It sounds like you are going through alot right now. Try and find out some of the facts from your sis...maybe it isn't anything to worry about.

Keep us posted!! Charlotte

Does your sister know about your fear? And the extent of it?

You need to worry only about yourself, you cannot be the rock for your parents. If they can't understand that you couldn't handle your job, its their problem because if they know your situation, they should be supportive.

So I wouldn't freak out over that, just concentrate on your interviews, and I don't think you will catch whatever it is your sister had, I'm sure of it!

Good luck with your interviews! And keep us dated!

Listen to terified girl, she is right! I hung out with my hubby not washing my hands constantly like I do when someone is sick, biting my nails, and bang he was when he came over later in the afternoon. I was so scared of getting this influenza, he is never sick and boy was he ever. From the momenthe came here sick I constantly washed my hands and the washroom!!I didn't get sick at all. Sure if I was out somewhere I would come home and wash and use he sanitizer. Being in my own place I thought forsure I would be safe, I bite my nails, withmy fingers in my mouth prior for him to get sick!!I am not sick and it has been 5 days. Try not to worry of what could happen.

Good luck and you will have a job in no time!

Thanks for the support guys. I don't exactly know what it is, when she's
sick she just kinda ignores it. But she was sneezing and sniffing a bit
yesterday, I kinda thought she might have a cold or something. But the
thing that puzzles me is that she went out last night with some friends.
And she had a sugary donut and stuff. Things people don't do when
they're sick. So maybe it was something she ate the night before...?
I don't know.
How long until I know if I'm safe from it?

did she v* from drinking maybe?

umm..i think it is 3 days until you know you're in the clear... I
answered that b/c you wanted to know, but really I don't want you to
think about that! If you didn't drink/eat after her, you will be
fine.

Good luck in your interviews! If you need to chat someone is almost always here, we'll help you with your stress!
