    Default Lack Of Sleep

It seems I'm constantly hearing about people getting s* from lack of sleep, perhaps v* just once or twice but still that is enough to worry me. I've not been sleeping much lately, I'm working at all sorts of hours and just getting a few hours where I can. Earlier I tried to take a nap after not having much sleep previously and woke up with this awful feeling. It was like I knew that if I wasn't careful I could v* yet I didn't feel n*, just a little acidic in the throat. I put it down to heartburn and thankfully it passed but not before scaring me. Is it really possible to get s* from not having much sleep?

Lack of Sleep can cause vomiting as it can make you feel dizzy or give you low blood sugar level. But generally to be that ill from lack of sleep you would have to be extremely tired, such as 2 hours sleep per night for a week.

I do recommend that you try and get at least 7 hours a night. Its not good to stay up on a long term basis. With busy lifestyles sometimes its harder to get the recommended 7-8 hours sleep a night, but I know when I get less than 7 hours a night, I feel terrible. I can handle it for one day, however if I suffer from lack of sleep for more than one night, I feel quite ill the next day and I have to end up drinking Caffine Stimulants or High Glucose Drinks, which make my IBS play up and cause more lack of sleep the next night.

Im going to have to guess that u dont have kids, lol. IF you only knew! A person can go awhile without sleep. I literally sleep maybe four hours a night I have three kids. And if its not one, then its the other..Something always has my sleep interrupted. To answer your questions though..I do feel like Im constantly dizzy, definitely always tired. Never feel sick at all though. Every now and then, i will have a really sleepy day where i dont feel great, But definitely never enough to actually be sick!

I have to agree with valen, you must not have kids! My son was colic and had acid refux horrible. I think in the first 3 months i got 2 hours of sleep a night. I was never n* but i had crazy thoughts! Sleep deprivation does crazy things to your brain. I cried to my father every day. Now here we are 3 1/2 years later and he still is horrible at night, twisting and turning, calling for me. I prob get 4 hours a night now. And not in a row tho. I guess you adapt after a while, i have days im really tired and then i have days im fine. Never felt n* from it

I have 4 kids, a 4 year old, a 3 year old, a 1 and a half year old and a 6 month old. Im not saying that everyone who doesnt sleep has nausea, I am just saying that it can cause nausea. My wife gets about 4-6 hours of sleep a night, and most days she feels sick, she looks tired alot and stressed. I understand that having kids is stressfull and sometimes you dont get alot of sleep, however as I stated previously, there are alot of illnesses that can come from lack of sleep. I know I get nausea from lack of sleep, due to feeling dizzy and tired.

I don't think lack of sleep can do anything to you...except make you feel shitty and tired.

Thanks for the comments guys. I don't have kids as most of you have guessed, I do however have a stressful job which pretty much requires me to be awake at all sorts of hours for long periods of time. Recently I've been getting about 2 or 3 hours sleep in the morning before going back to work again, so far I just feel dizzy and find myself believing it's evening when it's morning etc.. I guess if all you parents can go so long without sleep and make it through without v, there's no reason why I can't too.

I only get about less than 6 hours of sleep every weekday night, but I don't feel anymore sick than I do with 10 hours of sleep.
